GO: To a ZUMBA Class

This video comes from a Zumba class in Silicon Valley, but I love how it shows the true variety of people that take part in this fitness craze.

We’ll let the video speak pretty much for itself on this one, but if you’re looking for a fun way to get in shape, or even just get yourself moving for a little exercise, get your little booty to a Zumba Class ASAP!

In essence, Zumba is an excuse to have a dance party on a random weekday afternoon.  Who could hate on that?!  Combining Latin dancing-inspired moves with fun, fast-paced music, Zumba teaches you to shake your groove thang in such a way that you target various muscles while getting in a body-cleansing, sweat-filled cardio workout. #sexy

I’ve taken Zumba classes in a number of studios & gyms and from various teachers, and I’ve never left the room disappointed.  Yes, it’s probably because I’ve been dancing my entire life, but anyone who has taken Zumba will tell you that NO dance experience is required.  I will say, however, that in order to get the most out of your Zumba-licious experience you absolutely must let go and HAVE FUN.  Don’t worry about how you look or whether or not your body placement is exactly correct…thinking about those things takes away from this exceptional exercise experience.  Zumba is unlike any other fitness class I’ve ever seen or taken and is by far my fave.

Being that it’s still Breast Cancer Awareness Month (and we know how I adore shopping for a cause), Zumba Fitness has partnered with Susan G. Komen in a Groove for the Cure Campaign, featuring Jordin Sparks and Wyclef Jean among other celebs.  Of the ticket purchases from these Zumbathon events around the country, 75% of proceeds will be donated to Susan G. Komen!  How incredible and generous is that?!  Get more information at PartyInPink.com.
