The first in my Swimmers Series paintings, and my models are two of my beautiful sisters. Since I love water and beautiful sunlight, as well as the childlike feeling of carefree summer days, I wanted to capture that in Floating. This painting is the first in a series that I hope will evoke memories, a sense of peacefulness and a moment of wonder. This painting was a challenge, but I loved the blending of realism and abstraction to create it.
