The Yellow House, Stonington, Maine
I always love when one of my paintings holds significant meaning for another person. The new owner of the "famous" yellow house is now the new owner of this painting. We have connected online and I've had the pleasure of hearing the history of this place to their family.
Part of the reason that I like to paint structures like houses and barns in my landscapes is because of the sense of place it evokes - sometimes it's family history and sometimes it's present day, but in this case it's both.
